Eight Days in August

on BBC One London

Eight eventful days in Czechoslovakia seen through the eyes of one prominent Czech. Eight days that for him ended in exile.
Now Kamil Winter, former Head of News and Current Affairs in the Czechoslovak Television Service, gives his account of the Russian invasion and the response of his fellow-countrymen. It is a story that could be told a thousand different ways-but always a story with a common hero-the Czechoslovak people.
