and his Tango Orchestra with Dorothy Carless
' Getting Sentimental'
Few light orchestras are more popular with listeners than Eugene Pini 's Tango Orchestra, which he first formed for broadcasting in 1930, with such success that it has been on the air ever since. Perhaps his sympathy with tango music springs from the associations of his childhood. He was born in Buenos Aires and spent the first six years of his life in South America. Then his parents brought him to England, and at thirteen he was given the offer of studying music or engineering. Dorothy Carless is his wife.
