* Graham Greene on Evelyn Waugh

on BBC Radio 3

as a Novelist
Graham Greene knew Evelyn Waugh over many years, as a friend, a fellow writer and fellow Catholic. In a talk recorded at his home in the South of France, he re-appraises Waugh's fiction and reads passages from several of his novels. In particular he looks at the reputation of the Sword of Honour trilogy; he also reconsiders his earlier attitude to Brideshead Revisited.
