Dreamtime
A concert by Dreamtime, the six-piece
British improvisational band which began in London in 1982 with trombonist Nick Evans , saxophonist GaryCurson and drummer Jim LeBaigue , joined later by trumpeter Jim Dvorak , bassist Roberto Bellatalla and pianist Keith Tippett.
Dreamtime play original compositions and incorporate ideas from diverse musical cultures in their performances. Tonight's concert was recorded at London's Red Rose Club and is presented by Jez Nelson , who also plays music from the best new CDs. Producers Steve Shepherd and Kathryn Willgress
