Television Doctor: Cancer

on BBC Two England

Cancer is probably one of the most frightening words in the medical vocabulary. It is a disease that has been known for a very long time; there are records of cancer in ancient Egypt long before the birth of Christ.
Nowadays we know the causes of some cancers and we can usually prevent them from arising. Other cancers can be discovered at an early stage and can be treated by surgery or other means.
Taking part in the programme are the Consultant Physician, a Research Pathologist, and a General Practitioner.
