It's quite a week for James Ellis. Promotion to Sergeant in the new Z Cars series, his picture on the cover of Radio Times, and today an international disc-jockey cap for Northern Ireland in the Housewives' Choice coming-of-age celebrations. His playing of Bert Lynch on BBC-tv is only one chapter in his acting story. He has played leading parts on both sides of the Irish Sea, and many (non-constabulary) parts on TV, as well as forming his own theatre company. He'll have to watch his step today - three stripes or not. The guests are those ' Family Favourites,' Jean Metcalfe and Cliff Michelmore.
