Mrs. Dale, the doctor's wife, records the daily happenings in the life of her family
Script by Joan Carr-Jones
Sally returned to the shop after a few days' absence with a chill. She had lunch with Prue Austen, who had come to do some Christmas shopping. Prue later ran into Maud French, who tried unsuccessfully to cajole her into working for her again. Isabel learned, by chance, that her husband was going to Sweden on a business trip, and was very hunt that he did not want her to accompany him. Gwen was in a quandary as to whether they could afford to go with friends to a local Charity Ball, but David, who told Dr. Dale that the was expecting a rise in the near future, said they should not turn it down immediately. Billy came home from hospital and Edward Fielding gave him a large, expensive toy.
