Based chiefly on recordings made by DAVID WOODWARD during a long tour of the Far East, tonight's programme tries to give an overall picture ranging from the pack mules and Life Guards in HongKong to the V.C.10 jets of R.A.F. Transport Command, by way of the commando and aircraft carriers of Singapore, the replenishment vessels of the Royal Fleet Auxiliary Service. the R.A.F. fighters in the Far East and the Persian Gutf. and the Infantry everywhere from Aden to the Commonwealth Brigade (Australian. British. and New Zealand) in west Malaysia.
