Relayed from Worcester Cathedral
Worcester Cathedral organ was built by the late Robert Hope-Jones in 1896, the best of the pipes of the old Hill organ being incorporated. The specification for the work of renovation and enlargement was drawn up by Sir Ivor Atkins , in consultation with Messrs. Harrison and Harrison. There are four manuals ; sixty speaking stops, and twenty-three couplers. The mechanism is electro-pneumatic. The organ is a good deal distributed, the main organ being in the South transept.
Sir Ivor Atkins was appointed
