Birdwatch Live from Florida

on BBC One London

Last of three programmes Live from the Everglades
BBC cameras go deep into the vast, marshy wetland of the Everglades National Park, hoping for pictures of the anhinga - the 'darter' bird - which swims underwater to spear fish.
Tony Soper completes his week's birdwatching in Florida with this report from the hot, steamy southern tip of the Sunshine State. Also in the Everglades: herons, ibis, egrets, and some rarities - snail kite and limpkin; and alligators, of course.
Plus pictures from the sanctuary at Corkscrew Swamp, one of the last remaining areas of virgin bald cypress - the oldest trees in eastern North America.
