Horse Guards Parade at dusk is the backdrop to this historic military tradition. Lt Col David Price, Senior
Director of Music, leads the Massed Bands of the Household Division on a parade before HRH Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. Chris Stuart introduces the programme live from Horse Guards, with a varied selection of music by Bizet, Puccini, Tchaikovsky,
Souza and W C Handy.
The evening ends with an enthralling finale in which the rousing 1812 Overture is followed by Evening
Hymn, Last Post and a lone piper playing Oft in the Stilly Night.
