THE old churches of Finchley and Hendon are both mediæval buildings with interesting architectural features, but Hendon Church was transformed by its incorporaticn, Home years ago, into a great new building. There is now a danger that the character of Finchley Church-one of the last ' village churches ' surviving within the ever-widening area if London-may be similarly altered, so this talk by Mr. Allen. Walker, the well-known lecturer on the architecture and antiquities of London, comes at a particularly opportune moment.
