Stephen Johnson discovers Britten as accompanist and piano duettist. Britten's collaborators include baritones Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau and John Shirley-Quirk , and pianist
Sviatoslav Richter. The programme ends with Schumann's Leiderkreis, Op 39, sung by tenor Peter Pears.
