Sandy Burnett explores the many facets of George Malcolm 's extraordinary musical life: choirmaster, conductor, harpsichordist and teacher. He hears from Stephen Cleobury and Ian Partridge about Malcolm's "continental" sounding choir at Westminster Cathedral - for whom Britten wrote his Missa brevis - and from Andras Schiff about his inspired teaching methods. There will be an opportunity to hear Malcolm both as a harpsichordist and pianist. Including Britten's Missa brevis,
Malcolm's Boogie Woogie and Quem vidistis pastores, Purcell's Sweeter than Roses, Bach's Brandenburg Concerto No 5 and piano music by Haydn.
