When a British agent in Finland is killed for a roll of film showing a suspected missile site, the secret service decides to send in a man to investigate. That man is Leiser, a young Polish refugee with no background in espionage. After some intensive training he seems ready, and soon penetrates the East German frontier - then things begin to go terribly wrong....
