National Youth Orchestra
Live from St David 's Hall, Cardiff.
Dig out your walking boots and join the National Youth Orchestra for an Easter stroll around the Alps, courtesy of Strauss's Alpine Symphony, complete with wind and thunder effects and cow bells. Plus Mahler's sublime setting of five poems by Friedrich Ruckert , featuring the talented young Swedish mezzo Charlotte Hellekant. And the concert opens with one of Wagner's best-known opera overtures.
