View in Radio Times

Kay Cavendish , Dorothy Carless , and Pat Rignold
Since the outbreak of war the Cavendish Three has consisted of Kay Cnvendish , Pat Rignold , and Dorothy Carless. In 1934 Kay forsook the name of Kathleen Murray and classical piano-playing for Kay Cavendish and crooning. Such is her success today in the latter role, it might easily be forgotten that she has played at Glyndebourne and twice at Queen's Hall under Sir Henry Wood.
Pat Rignold sister of Hugo, won her radio spurs with a vocal trio in Canada, came to England to spend a holiday with her brother, who had left Canada for his native country, England, at the age of eighteen, and never went back. She became soloist in his Concert Orchestra and broadcast with the ' Hugonotes ' before joining the famous Three.
Dorothy Carless has played the piano in serious concerts, has been a model, won a year's film contract in open competition, broadcast in a number of light music shows, and eventually married Eugene Pini , with whom she is regularly on the air.
