The First Lady: A Time of Fear

on BBC One London

by Leslie Sands
Starring Thora Hird, Robert Keegan, James Grout and Henry Knowles

Will Tarrant's Aunt Amy has been a sturdy fighter for a variety of causes ranging from the suffragette movement to the General Strike. The trouble is that she doesn't know when to stop. Now in her old age, she is still pitching in and her latest cause is the new home for the aged. Her battle is fought with all the ferocity of fifty years' experience at the barricades - no holds barred. As Sarah finds out, however, it is not Aunt Amy who really suffers... but how to stop her?
