by Wyndham Lewis with Donald Wolfit
Raymond Huntley and James McKechnie
Scene: Outside Heaven

Third broadcast of the production first presented in May 1955
H. G. Wells once said of Wynd. ham Lewis's novel The Childermass: ' its potential readers are scattered through the world like particles of gold in a not very auriferous quartz. How is it to find them? 'The success of the radio adaptation of the book broadcast in the 1950s must have done much to solve that problem. It was hailed as ' a superb piece of radio writing,', carrying ' the impact of one of the few original minds of our time.'
