THE KITCHEN FRONT

on BBC Home Service Basic

View in Radio Times

A talk about what to eat and how to cook it, by Gert and Daisy
Gert and Daisy, of course, are none other than Elsie and Doris Waters , famous radio stars long before their now famous brother, Jack Warner , became known. Those who heard them broadcasting last spring in that useful and amusing series, ' Feed the Brute ', will know they are as good at wartime dishes as at raising laughs. Besides giving the Kitchen Front talks this week, they will broadcast in the Star Variety on Christmas Day.
