The Other Man: Episode 1

on BBC Television

View in Radio Times

A Francis Durbridge serial in six episodes.
[Starring] Tony Britton, Patricia Driscoll and Duncan Lamont in a second showing of The Other Man
(A BBC telerecording)

Harold Darton writes: "The Other Man" is a little different from previous serials by Francis Durbridge, for the scene has moved out of London and the West End to a fictitious small town called Medlow, situated by a river - most essential to the plot. This time the central character, David Henderson, housemaster of a public school, is not trying to clear his name. On the contrary, he seems to be incriminating himself by doing very suspicious things. Why? That is the question, and one doesn't have to be a seer to prophesy that we shall be kept in agonising suspense for the answer until the last few minutes of the last episode.
