Howard Marshall was one of the BBC's most distinguished broadcasters in the 1930s. 40s and 50s. Today he is almost forgotten. BOB RICHARDS talks to ROGER CLARK about his career.
Also taking part are Frank Gillard and John Snagge who worked with Marshall.
The programme includes sound archive recordings from state occasions, war dispatches and sporting events, most of which are now seldom heard.
