1—' The Aim Uncle '
Produced by Lorraine Davies
A steep narrow path climbs from the pleasant fields of Mayenfeld village, through the heath and the sweet mountain paths, up almost to the grim summit of the great Aim mountain in Switzerland. Up this path one sunny June morning, a little orphan girl, Heidi, climbs to find a new home for herself with her grandfather the Aim Uncle, a bitter and frightening old man of whom everybody is terrified, particularly the children.
' The Way You Say It': first of a series of talks by David Lloyd James on dialects and accents, illustrated by Stephen Jack. (BBC recording)
