Italy acted like a magnet on Renaissance composers, many of whom travelled there to work and live, some even adopting Italian names. Anthony Rooley introduces a concert given by I Fagiolini, directed by Robert Hollingworth , of music written by foreign visitors and native Italians, including Hans Leo Hassler, Luca Marenzio , Claudio Monteverdi , Cipriano de Rore and Giaches de Wert.
