on Light Programme

Zeppelins Over England adapted for radio by KENNETH POOLMAN from his book with Noel Johnson
On the night of September 8, 1915, three huge cigar-shaped fuselages rose up against the stars from an airfield near the mouth of the River Elbe in Germany. They were the first Zeppelins setting out to bomb England; the weapons with which Germany expected to win the war.
