Smokers' Luck

on BBC One London

This film shows the current state of research into the cancers, bronchitis and heart disease caused by cigarette smoking - which in the UK lead to more than 200 premature deaths each day. But many smokers really do want to give up.

One in every five who watched a previous showing stopped immediately - and one in ten were still not smoking a year later.

(A "Horizon" production first shown BBC2)

"'Must' viewing /or those who want to kick the habit." (Ms. London)
