A Czech scientist escapes to the West but is shot in the head before he can divulge vital secrets. His wound is inoperable, so an extraordinary plan is devised: a special team in a submarine is to be miniaturised and injected into the bloodstream to operate from within. It is a race against time: in just 60 minutes, they will return to normal size.
