Nellie White (soprano)
Joyce Gayford (contralto)
Reginald Forwood (tenor)

The Four Singers first performed under that name in 1936. They have sung madrigals at Barber's Hall in the City of London-one of the few buildings surviving the Great Fire, and at an Elizabethan house in Kent.
Nellie White , soprano, studied under Miss Carrie Tubb and it was said of her by Fox Strangways , the music critic, that her ' incisive quality does for a madrigal what Elizabeth Schumann 's does for an opera
Joyce Gayford , contralto, studied at the Royal Academy of Music, and has conducted the choir at the Leith Hill Festival. Reginald Forwood , tenor, was a chorister at Canterbury Cathedral, and continued his studies at the Royal College of Music.
Frank Keyte , baritone, was a chorister at a City church, studied at the Royal Academy of Music, and is a lay clerk at Rochester Cathedral.
