The Old Vic Children 's Theatre
Since the outbreak of war the Old Vic has made its home in the North of England. Its producer, Esme Church, has always been anxious to make the theatre a joy to children, so the younger members of the Company have devised and produced a special entertainment for children only. The show is compered by the magician Merlin, and* includes folk songs, plays, games, and dances. There is a matinee today for Children's Hour listeners, with an audience of schoolchildren, from a beautiful Border castle.
