Songs of Praise

on BBC One London

from Edmonton and Tottenham
Last October a vicious riot erupted on the Broadwater Farm estate in Tottenham, North London. One year later Cliff Michelmore talks to some of the people involved. He meets the Wiltshires, whose home was damaged, and a policeman who was severely injured in the fighting. Cliff also discovers hope in a project designed to help young people find employment. Christians from Edmonton and Tottenham sing their songs of praise in the parish church of All Saints, Edmonton, which is celebrating its 850th anniversary.
Thine be the the glory (Maccabaeus); Dear Lord and Father of mankind (Repton); Make me a channel of your peace; Great is thy faithfulness; Jesu, lover of my soul (Aberystwyth); A cry in the night (Notting Hill); Jerusalem; Let there be peace on earth.
