Born and educated in Manchester, Peter Noone appeared in several TV shows before making his mark as lead singer with Herman's Hermits. From his home in Santa Barbara, southern California, he recalls the group that took him out of school and into the charts, and remembers favourite records by artists such as Lulu, Big Dee Irwin, the Beach Boys and Ray Charles.
