Edinburgh Military Tattoo

on BBC One London

Set against the backdrop of Edinburgh Castle this year's event sees two significant anniversaries. The massed military bands celebrate the 400th anniversary of the Union of the Crowns, while the 50th anniversary of the end of hostilities in the Korean War is marked by the first UK appearance of the Traditional Band of the Army of South Korea with a spectacular display of music and pageantry.
Included are displays by the Massed Pipes and Drums, the King's Troop, the Royal Horse Artillery, the US Army Drill Team, the Massed Highland Dancing Display and Switzerland's Top Secret Drum Corps. Hosted by Clarissa Dickson Wright and Johnny Scott , with commentary by Tom Fleming.
