Quartet Competition
Stephanie Hughes presents the first of five programmes of performances from this prestigious competition, which took place last week as part of London String Quartet Week. The competition commences with the preliminary round: three days of performances featuring 11 quartets at the Royal Academy of Music, playing music ranging from Mozart to Brahms to James MacMillan. Today's programme features highlights from the first day.
