Comedy directed by and starring Alan Alda, with Michael Caine, Michelle Pfeiffer
The sleepy New England town of Sayeville gets an object lesson in movie-making when a crew arrives to film a historical epic based on a local academic's book. The inhabitants discover that for today's Hollywood films characters must do three things: defy authority, destroy property, and take people's clothes off. If those elements don't fit the facts, then the facts will just have to change. So the scene is set for lust, action, romance and laughter. And that's just behind the camera.
