We're all polluting the planet - so who is going to pay to clean it up? The northern nations have become rich on the back of dirty and dangerous technology; so it's no surprise that the poor countries want to emulate them and catch up with our living standards. But if they do, it could spell disaster for the whole planet.
Sadhna Karnik argues before a panel of experts that although the wealthy nations should pay, her unsuccessful fight for compensation on behalf of the victims of Bhopal in India shows it's unlikely that resources will be made available.
