The story of Mathilde Carré nicknamed ' The Cat' who in turn worked with great audacity for the French Resistance, betrayed her friends to the German Abwehr, came to London at the height of the war, and was condemned to death in Paris.
The programme is based on the book
' The Cat with Two Faces' bv Gordon Young and includes recordings made in France by a few of those concerned in Mathilde Carre 's extraordinary story.
