12.45 Grandstand
Introduced by David Coleman
From Cardiff Arms Park
Featuring International Rugby Union: Wales v. France
Today's final match in the International Championship - on BBC1 and BBC Wales, and in colour on BBC2. Commentary on Radio 3 and 2 and Radio 4 Welsh Home Service.

France come to Cardiff Arms Park for today's rugby union clash knowing that victory over Wales will give them their first-ever International Championship 'grand slam' - they have already beaten England, Scotland and Ireland.
England did the last grand slam - in 1956-57.
Despite their successes, this is not a great French side. They snatched a narrow victory over the Scots in the last seconds of the match; they were rarely convincing against an Irish team who had two men injured; and England led them at half-time.
The French have made many changes in a winning side this season - but almost certain to be playing are the Camberabero brothers, Guy and Lilian - the 'mini halves': neither tops the five foot mark by more than three or four inches.
Wales are short of their greatness of some earlier years, but they are never easy to beat, particularly when playing at home before 60,000 Welshmen. And the record book is on their side. In 1955 France were even closer to the grand slam. They had only to win their last match, at home to Wales. The Welshmen went to Paris - and won 16-11.
