Crime Limited

on BBC One London

A programme about crime, the victims of crime and the people whose lives are affected by its consequences. The object is to try to right the balance in favour of the people criminals try not to think about - those whom the justice system itself often seems to overlook.
The series also features reconstructions of important cases from the past that have led to judicial and forensic breakthroughs.
Tonight: the south London family who only realised the growing danger of racism around them when their son was murdered; "Penny Black", codename for a housewife who was so appalled by the crime in her area that she became a key police informant; and the victim who was sentenced to the gallows - why Renee Duffy 's killing of her violent husband still influences the law today.
