Dr. and Mrs. Dale are still very concerned about Nora's unhappy situation and. realising that Roddy is still missing Shanta acutely, they decided that it would be a good idea if Roddy invited Nora out to dinner. Roddy admitted to Dr. Dale that the evening had been a great success. Mrs. Freeman has accused Sheila Draycott of egging Arthur Devenish on in his threats toward Dr. Dale, and Sheila has admitted that she has encouraged him.
