Pinky and Perky have signed on as Mates for a musical voyage round the world on board the paddle steam-ship Melodymaster. More or less in command of this rather strange, yet friendly vessel is Captain Zachary Scuttle. Also on board the Melodymaster are Bertie Bonkers, chief engineer, and Pepper Parrot, the ship's parrot and ancient mariner.
