A few years ago, hundreds of Jamaicans were swallowing sealed packets of drugs before boarding flights to Britain. Many of them were single mothers so desperate for cash that they risked their lives and five to eight years in jail to act as mules for drug barons. Now, thanks to hi-tech equipment and education campaigns, the numbers have dropped. But what happens to these women when they are deported back home at the end of their prison sentences?
