In the week that the exhibition Africa Remix:
Contemporary Art of a Continent opens at the Hayward Gallery in London, Hassan Arouni travels to Africa to meet artists from Mozambique, Algeria, Zimbabwe and Nigeria. Drawing inspiration from sources as diverse as the colours of Kente cloth, the politics of modern Zimbabwe, the beauty of the Algerian coast, and a makeshift gym in Mozambique, the artists reflect the wealth and diversity of 21-century African art.
