A Programme commemorative of Mrs. Siddons from her birthplace in Brecon (Mrs. Siddons was bom, the child of strolling players, in the Shoulder of Mutton Inn, Brecon, on July 5, 1755)

The broadcast will take the form of a representation of her professional farewell to the stage in the part of Lady Macbeth, at Covent Garden, June 29, 1812, as imagined in the last scene of the play 'Mrs. Siddons', by Naomi Royde-Smith. Lillah McCarthy (Lady Keeble) will play Mrs. Siddons-Lady Macbeth-supported by: Gillian Maude, Shirley Holmes, Joyce Warrack, Ivan Samson, Anthony Ireland, Rupert Siddons (a lineal descendant of the great tragedienne)
