For All the Saints. This week's Jazz on 3 features another studio session recorded exclusively forthe programme, a performance by For All the Saints. A trio formed by prolific and versatile drummer and percussionist Paul Clarvis ,
Tony Hymas plays piano and keyboards and the band is completed by Stan Sulzmann on saxophone and flute. Led by Clarvis's impressionistic drumming the band improvise evocative melodies and textures, taking inspiration from a mix of traditional tunes from around the world, and create their own compositions. Plus Jez Nelson 's regular monthly selection of the best newjazz releases.
