In 1992, following similar projects in Britain, Russia and the United States, director
Angus Gibson filmed a diverse group of seven-year-olds in South Africa. The children were black and white, rich and poor, from leafy suburbs and city slums. This Everyman special records his return visit to meet them, now aged 14.
