The successful Hollywood team of William Perlberg and George Seaton were responsible for this moving factual account of the war-time activities of the spy, Eric Erickson.
Under Allied pressure Erickson - a Swedish businessman - is forced to masquerade as a traitor, trading with Nazi Germany. He secures vital information on war plans but falls in love with his confederate - a beautiful and courageous woman, Marianne Mollendorf. Their affair ends in agonising tragedy before Erickson is forced to flee for freedom.
