on Third Programme

Talk by Gertrud Luckner
‛ If you had lived under Hitler and had Watched all that intolerance, oppression, and organised destruction, what would you have done?' Dr. Luckner describes how she and many others in all parts of Germany helped Gypsies, Jews, ' non-Aryan Christians,' and other victims on the principles of ' self-help.' This help, of an entirely individual day-to-day kind, originated as a social movement in England, and it is still active in Germany.
