The besieged Alamo garrison sends John Stroud to the aid of their wives and families at Ox Bow. But he arrives too late and finds the settlement, including his own wife and son, wiped out by renegade Texans led by Jess Wade.
Glenn Ford stars as Stroud, who sets out to avenge the murder of his family and to clear himself of a charge of desertion.
