The second of four plays in which various people try to find new ways of life.
At 19, Alec finds himself tied down by his domineering mother and imprisoned in a boring job at a sawmill. He decides to use his annual holiday hostelling in the Highlands in a bid to escape and find the better life he feels must be out there somewhere.
