This skit is a peep behind the microphone and shows the trials and tribulations of a radio producer (not B.B.C.) endeavouring to make the show go over in spite of opposition from a theatrical magnate, temperamental artists; and incompetent ' Yes-men.' Let us add that it is all part of a mythical commercial broadcasting organisation.
At the head of a large cast of popular favourites "is Dorothy Carless , a singer who is to have her first big chance on the air. She has only broadcast once before, and that was when she was put into a programme earlier in the week to make sure ' microphone fright ' did not interfere with her performance in a big part tonight.
(' The Show Goes Over' will be broadcast by all Regionals, except Scottish, tomorrow night)
